Synth demon Alex is keeping a busy schedule, it seems. Over the past week, the Edinburgh based artist dropped 2 singles and one full EP on his Bandcamp page.

The first release is a full EP that sees ALEX push his sound to new extremes. ‘Death Dance’ is a high concentrate of electronic decadence rooted in Drum & Bass rhythms, techno synth textures and cavernous EBM sounds. If the ‘LOVE, DEATH & ROBOTS’-inspired cover art is indicative of anything, it’s that you’re in for a wild ride.

Along with the EP, two additional classic synthwave-styled singles dropped this past week. The first single is a slick, phase-tastic remaster of his eerie yet soothing track ‘Paradise’.

The second title is a groovy, ambient single called ‘Orion’.

Both single releases come with ‘slowed & reverb’ versions of each track, a first taste from an upcoming remix album comprised entirely of slowed down and reverb-boosted ALEX tracks.

Described as a ‘vapourwaved collection of previous works’, Drugs & Reverb’s whopping 24-tracks are due to drop on October 1st on his Bandcamp page.

Be sure to check out the album’s first two tracks on Bandcamp if you’re in the mood for some time-bending reverb-basking. We can hardly wait to hear the whole thing!
