Toronto pop/R&B superstar Abel Tesfaye is back with a new retro-infused single titled ‘Take My Breath’. It’s been a little over a year since The Weeknd released After Hours and its Synthwave megahits ‘Blinding Lights’ and ‘In Your Eyes’, and it looks like the Canadian artist is still steadfast on keeping it retro on his forthcoming album. For this new single, The Weeknd has once again teamed up with songwriters and producers Max Martin and Oscar Holter (who co-signed ‘Blinding Lights’, ‘In Your Eyes’, ‘Hardest to Love’, ‘Scared to Live’ and ‘Save your Tears’ on After Hours) for a Funky Disco anthem hooked on old-school synths and classic drum machines.
The single was released alongside a flashy music video directed by Cliqua, who previously directed two of Abel’s music videos for After Hours.
