First unveiled to the world in December of 2017, the IKARI-蒸気波LP (tr: Vaporwave LP) series are an anthology of vintage funky sample-based tracks tinted with the existential angst felt plaguing Shinji Ikari of Neon Genesis Evangelion throughout the classic anime series.
With IKARI-蒸気波LP III, producer Daniel Danielson signs off with a worthy finale to an ambitious project that will no doubt be spinning through the endless, sleepless nights of neurotic anime fans and doomers longing for funky grooves with an unsettling, bitter aftertaste.
