New Arcades – Into The Skyline

The lights go out slowly, the crowd holds their breath. The musicians get ready in the dark,  fingers hovering over the synthesizer, guitar feedback reverberating, the singer enters the stage, grabs the microphone, the spotlight goes pure white,  blistering neon, the sound starts, illuminating the room…
A tribute to all the great works of the real 80s. The entrance is accomplished and now the song is in flow, a fast, cheerful, naive, suspicious energy. The slightly distorted lyrics sheds unusual and in some cases harmonic chords. A full-fledged drama packaged in a single piece of music, gripping pads, closed high hats driving the momentum, deep rich bass undercutting the vocal sung with passion.
The voice seems to say ‘It doesn’t seem to bother me when I lose control.’
