Futurecop! – Atari Warrior
The title paints a picture of a character imagined as a two-dimensional image trapped inside of a game. Synthpop plucks and retro riffs amongst some incredible fast-paced chiptune workouts. You’ll find yourself lost in the maze of the coding as if two computers are talking to each other, a language beyond us, calculating some impossible mathematical sum.
The kick in bangs with sharp open high hat, synth lines flying out in all directions, rising and falling bass and pads create a wave, a ride, that feeling when the yo-yo is flung down and it loosens and tightens around the fingertip, the lace slackens, then goes taut. It takes you into its motion feeding a will for movement you didn’t know you had, tension with release.
