Darksynth overlord Carpenter Brut has just unveiled a new music video titled ‘THE WIDOW MAKER’. Directed by The Deka Brothers and produced by Carpenter Brut’s own No Quarter Prod, the video stars Dylan Sprouse as a leather-sporting rockstar with a thirst for bloody revenge. Filled with psychedelic cinematography, retro cheese and raw aggression, Carpenter Brut’s new track rampages through eighties tropes, leaving his distinct blood red mark on whatever dares cross its path.

Featuring Alex Westway of GUNSHIP fame, ‘The Widow Maker’ serves as both a throwback and leap forward for the French producer, whose scope keeps growing larger with everything subsequent release.

At less than two weeks before the album’s release, it seems like the artist’s fully intending to keep our blood boiling for the feral thrills of the Leather Terror…

After announcing his first tour since 2018 back in December, the French Darksynth juggernaut Carpenter Brut has unveiled the date for his next full-length album. Titled Leather Terror, the upcoming record evidently serves as a direct follow up to 2018’s Leather Teeth (possibly the second instalment in yet another trilogy…?) and will feature a handful of exciting guest features from both the metal and retro synth scene, namely Gunship, Ulver and Sylvaine.

Along with the big announcement came the premiere of the album’s first single, which features artist Greg Puciato (The Black Queen/Killer Be Killed/ex-The Dillinger Escape Plan). Directed by French artist Dehn Sora, ‘Imaginary Fire’ expands on Carpenter Brut’s previous music video ‘Fab Tool’ with a hellish, Lovecraftian portrayal of Florida’s beaches.

The album’s pre-order page on bandcamp shows that the album will feature 12 songs whose titles forebode yet another round of unholy rites and merciless decadence.

The unstoppable Roller Mobster is back! Carpenter Brut released a new music video for a Southern Gothic influenced track named ‘Fab Tool’.

The song features David Eugene Edwards of Wovenhand and 16 Horsepower fame,  who lends his distinctive post-punk Americana preachings to the anthemic track. Misty highways stretch across strange barren lands paved with bones and megalithic structures in this stunning new visual voyage into Carpenter Brut’s Heavy Metal universe.

Once again, the producer is sticking to his roots and called upon the prodigious talents of visual artist Dehn Sora to sculpt the uncanny landscapes of ‘Fab Tool’. Based in France, Dehn Sora has signed artwork and visuals for extreme metal artists such as Blut Aus Nord and Ulcerate and is most well known for his work with the Church of Ra. Carpenter Brut fans will recognize landmark symbols and throwbacks to Carpenter Brut’s previous works whilst also coming across some some new elements drenched with the visual artists’ style.
