Further details released were as follows: Laura Vandervoort (Jigsaw, Bitten, Smallville, V the recent series) is starring as Rose, a seamstress who goes through radical transformations after going under the cosmetic knife after an incident that left her disfigured. Also starring, Hanneke Talbot, Mackenzie Gray, Ben Hollingsworth and WWE superstars CM PUNK and his real life wife and WWE vixen AJ Mendez (I shit you not).

The famous space opera is looking like it’s coming to a cinemaplex near you. Gundam has been a milestone in anime since the 1970’s. The original series was set in a future century where resources and living space had become so few that humanity began to colonize the stars. In time, those colonies sought to seek their own sovereignty from the control from Earth which lead to civil war. A war that is fought with epic space battles and bipedal mechs and most powerful of them all being the Gundams.

The success of the series lead into other series, mangas and OVA’s making the franchise almost an anthology were storylines can exist independent of each other.

Most of us will remember either the 0083 or Gundam Wing series or the millions of detailed and beautiful Gundam figurines that have graced the covers of the major Japanese toy magazines. Younger members of our community will recall the more recent entries under the Gundam banner.

According to Variety Magazine:
The project will be overseen by Cale Boyter on behalf of Legendary with the Sunrise creative team. No actors, writers, or directors are on board yet. Legendary announced on June 28 that it had closed a $1 billion revolving credit facility led by J.P. Morgan.

Dolemite is Coming!! Sort of.

Eddie Murphy’s “Dolemite Is My Name” and DreamWorks Animimation’s “Abominable” have rounded out their casts and veteran exec Gary Glushon joins F. Gary Gray’s production company.

Wesley Snipes, Craig Robinson, Mike Epps, Tituss Burgess and Da’Vine Joy Randolph have joined Eddie Murphy in the Netflix biopic “Dolemite Is My Name!”

Production started June 11 with Craig Brewer directing from a script by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski. Murphy is also producing with John Davis and John Fox. Michael Buegg is executive producing.

The project centers on the life of Rudy Ray Moore, who recorded the Dolemite comedy albums in the early 1970s and used the proceeds to finance the 1975 film “Dolemite,” in which he starred as a pimp and ghetto hero. Moore also starred as Dolemite in “The Human Tornado,” “The Monkey Hustle,” and “Petey Wheatstraw: The Devil’s Son-in-Law.” He died in 2008.

Netflix will launch the film in 2019. Murphy has limited his movie performances in recent years, last starring in the 2016 drama “Mr. Church” and the 2012 comedy-drama “A Thousand Words.”

This new adaptation was originally locked in on Guillermo Del Toro to helm the directing chair but, due to scheduling problems he will only serve as producer with Alfonso Cuaron (Children of Men, Gravity). This will be a fun and welcomed return for Zemeckis who is best known for the Back to the Future trilogy, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Death Becomes Her, Forrest Gump and the Frighteners. Zemeckis will also pen the script, with his partner Jack Rapke producing through their banner ImageMovers.

Now, the trailer for the upcoming Horror film Summer of 84′ has dropped online.

It looks interesting; at least on the surface. Equal parts Stranger Things with Stephen King’s Silver Bullet. All I hope for is a killer soundtrack, authentic dialogue and a good director of photography. Overall, I’ll keep an eye out for this movie since it looks chill and moody and definitely less X-MEN than what Stranger Things is.

Directed by François Simard, Anouk Whissell and Yoann-Karl Whissell and starring Graham Verchere, Judah Lewis, Caleb Emery, Cory Gruter-Andrew, Tiera Skovbye, and Rich Sommer. The film premiered at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival. It is scheduled to be released on August 3, 2018 by Gunpowder & Sky.

Starring Rami Malek and follows the life and Rock&Roll adventure of Farrokh Bulsara from young man into immortality as the man behind one of the greatest voices in modern Rock, Freddie Mercury.

I was seven years old and one of my relatives took me to the cinema to watch the first one. The second I rented at my neighborhood video store. The late 80’s into 90s feel is immortalized in these films, the colors, the clothes, the lingo the almost Saturday morning cartoon-like depictions of a future living in world peace through rock & roll and air-guitar. By the way – Joan of Arc was really hot and lets’ not forget the medieval princess.

I remember Keanu Reeves during his press interviews for John Wick being asked about a possible B&T3 and how enthusiastic he was to discuss a possible storyline that him, Winters and the original team where throwing around about the film and how they were working on getting off the ground. His excitement became my excitement and let me say this, “I will be at the midnight showing of this on premiere night”. So far i haven’t been too disappointed and very impressed by a lot of retro sequels lately. From the AMAZING Blade Runner 2949 to the recently released first season of Cobra Kai (the first two episode review also on this site) I’m all in… All the way in.

So what do we know so far:

The Hollywood Reporter revealed the news out of Cannes today.

Currently in pre-production, Bill & Ted Face the Music will see the duo long past their days as time-traveling teenagers and now weighed down by middle age and the responsibilities of family. They’ve written thousands of tunes, but they have yet to write a good one, much less the greatest song ever written. With the fabric of time and space tearing around them, a visitor from the future warns our heroes that only their song can save life as we know it. Out of luck and fresh out of inspiration, Bill and Ted set out on a time travel adventure to seek the song that will set their world right and bring harmony in the universe as we know it. Together with the aid of their daughters, a new crop of historical figures, and some sympathetic music legends, they find much, much more than just a song.

Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest) will direct the film from a script by original writers Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon. Of course, Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves will reprise their roles almost three decades after the original two films, and Bill and Ted’s daughters will be joining their time-traveling adventures this time around. MGM, which owns the rights to the series, will release the film in the US, while international sales are currently in the works at the Cannes Film Festival.
