An expert mix of house, italo disco, and synthwave, “Forget Me Tango” is an album in-between decades. The bandcamp page reads “Inspired by 1990’s TV, Malls, Arcades, Discotheques and Fashion Shows,” however much of this album seems to reside in the late 80s as well.

Acting like a time capsule for that turn-of-the-decade feel, “Forget Me Tango” swings through a variety of influences from synthwave emotions to future funk fantasies and into house and disco dance hall ground pounders. This album has a bit of everything for everyone – but all with high quality production and nailing the unique design from an interesting and short-lived time.

Quixotic has been producing synth for years starting around 2011, if not earlier. In all of that time he’s been refining his sound – and that wait has paid off.
