“199XAD”  is a direct sequel to his cult classic “198XAD,” an exquisite example of sonic dread released way back in 2014. Although it’s been five years, “199XAD” is still very much tonally replete with the fiendish cyberpunk darksynth sound that is Mega Drive – but it’s clear a lot has changed in 5 years. This release is via FiXT Neon – interestingly the same label that released “198XAD” as well – though previously under the name Subterra Records.

The production is much more crisp and the melodies feel a bit more polished , making this album feel like 198XAD in high definition. Make sure your boots are strapped on nice and tight for this one folks – because Mega Drive is set to blow them right off.
